  • This book contains a meditation about Passion of Christ for each day of Lent. They were written by Thomas a Kempis, an Augustinian monk most famous of his work The Imitation of Christ. Though they were written for monks, they help any Catholic to love Our Lord, Who suffered so much during His Passion. This is a reprint of a pre-Vatican II edition, which contains all the passages removed from the modern editions, including passages about the Jews. The book also contains the Litany for the Holy Face of Christ.
  • Thomas à Kempis (1380-1471) was an Augustinian canon regular, who lived in the Monastery of Mount St. Agnes in Netherlands. He is one of the most celebrated spiritual authors of Catholicism, his most famous work being The Imitation of Christ. Thomas was no scholar in the Renaissance sense of the term, or a great orator. But he is said to have been always ready to preach - and preach well – after making a brief mediation. These mediations about the Passion of Christ, arranged to follow the course of Lent, are taken from Thomas’ series of sermons he gave to the novices of his monastery. Though originally meant for monks, they help any Catholic to love Our Lord more, and be enormously thankful to Him because He suffered so much for our sake on His Cross.
The entire proceeds of this book go towards the support of the Sodality of Charity. May God bless you!
