This book presents ten Old Testament heroines, who did mighty deeds in the service of God. Starting from the first woman, Eve, all the way to the advent of Christ, many heroic women put their lives on the line to maintain the worship of the true God. Some of them, like Esther and Judith, were born and raised to the true Faith. Some others, like Rahab and Ruth, were pagans and converts. Some did big and mighty deeds, like Esther, who saved her own people from genocide. Others showed their Faith by merely allowing God to use them as He wished, like Agar who with God's help saved her son from death. By studying the lives of the saints of the old law, young Catholics learn how God always shows His mercy and salvation to those who sincerely seek Him, and has done so since the beginning of times.
