When Our Lady appeared to the 3 shepherd children at Fatima in 1917, she asked them to pray the Rosary to win many graces for themselves and others. The children had often hurried through the Rosary, saying only the words “Our Father” and “Hail Mary,” instead of the whole prayer, but from now on they would pray the Rosary properly. When praying the Rosary, we should also meditate on or think about the events in each of the 15 Mysteries—the Joyful, the Sorrowful, and the Glorious Mysteries—which are events in the lives of Our Lord and His Mother Mary. In this book, the 15 Mysteries are pictured, and for each one a discussion among some Catholic people points out various details of the events, explaining what to meditate on and giving hints on how the Mysteries relate to our own life. Our Lady will help us pray the Rosary well. And if we do so, we shall win many graces, receive the gift of peace in the world, and obtain the salvation of many souls. In this way we will also bring great joy to the heart of our heavenly Mother.
